Lophura swinhoii Length: Male 70-79 cm; Female 46-50 cm
In the past, Swinhoe’s Pheasant can be easily found in mountain areas at low and middle elevation in Taiwan, but now it is considered as globally near-threatened. Found in primary broadleaf forests or forest edges, its diet consists of insects, buds, berries and seeds. It usually feeds in early morning and late afternoon.
